Essence Twins Mr. Big and Carrie

A couple of weeks ago I received an amazing package from Jill in Switzerland. I sent her some stuff she was after and to say thanks she sent me 30 (yes 30!) nail polishes from Europe. There were Essence polishes, H & M polishes, Catrice polishes, Stamping plates, Glitter, nail art pens and accessories and amazing Swiss chocolates!

Inside my package was a whole set of Essence Nail Art Twin polishes. There are 4 sets in this collection, but today I am showing you just one set.

This is Mr. Big and Carrie

The polishes are labeled 1 and 2 so you know how to use them and pair them together! Super Cute! The polishes are 10ml (0.33fl. oz) each and a google search shows me that these sell for about €1.75 each.

Essence Nail Art Twin Mr. Big - shade

This is two coats of Mr. Big. It was easy to apply and dried to a nice smooth slightly shiny gloss finish. If you were in a hurry and were using the top coat you could almost get away with only one coat of this colour.

Essence Nail Art Twin Carrie - shade

This is only one coat of Carrie over the two coats of Mr. Big. The glitter is a few different shapes and sizes. The bigger bits of glitter in this are lighter pink hexagons and darker pink squares, floating in a pink jelly base filled with little tiny pink glitter pieces.

I love how these look together. I really like the combination and cant wait to try the three other colours I have.

Jill if your reading this - thanks so much once again!!!

All thanks to smoochiefrog (aka Tina) from Manicure Mommas. Yet again she has come to the rescue sending me a whole collection I couldnt otherwise get. I love her.

Thanks once again Tina!
I cant wait to start using these before the last of our summer ends and the sun disappears. There is a whole lot of holographic goodness that needs to be worn!

Milani 3D Holographic Collection

In November I completed my first nail polish swap with the amazing Tina aka smoochiefrog from Manicure Mommas. She very kindly sent me the Nicole Gossip Girl collection and the surprise was the whole entire Milani 3D Holographic collection. This collection consists of 6 holographic colours.

Left to Right: Milani Hi-Res, Digital, 3D, Hi-Tech, Cyberspace and HD

These polishes are AMAZING! the holographic-ness of them is awesome. They don't look that sparkly from the outside of the bottle, but once you put them on they are great! I think they are the best holographic polishes I own at the moment (better than the China Glaze OMG collection! and that is saying a lot)

As you can see from enlarging any of the pictures that are in the sun that these are amazing! They are still pretty in the shade though. All of these were 3 coats (except from HD which was 4 coats). Easy application with a good brush. HD could be used as a holographic topcoat as is quite sheer for the first coat/2coats.

Milani polishes are not sold in New Zealand. Your best options is to swap or buy online to get some of these.

My First Swap

On a quick note before we start... I GOT A JOB! yay! From the 20th of December I will be working full time as an analyst at the New Zealand Ministry of Education. Can not wait. (More money = more polish)

A while ago I had asked my followers if any one could help me get the Nicole OPI Gossip Girl collection (not so much for the polishes but for the fact that Gossip Girl is my favourite TV program). Tina aka smoochiefrog from Manicure Mommas sent me an email last week telling me she had picked them up for me and we set up a swap. Just over a week later and we have both received our swap packages.

I am so excited. Tina is a lovely person and not only sent me the Gossip Girl polishes but also the whole set of Milani 3D holographic polishes and a Sally Hansen Nail Prisms polish (and some chocolate). I sent her back a bunch of BYS polishes including the black crackle one she wanted to try out and of course so Pineapple lumps.

Her is what she sent me:

Left to Right: Sally Hansen White Diamond, Nicole OPI Party in the Penthouse, Nicole...spotted!, Scandal secrets & sparkle, Too Rich for You.

Left to Right: Milani Hi-Res, Digital, 3D, Hi-Tech, Cyberspace and HD.

I cant wait to do more swaps. Admittedly postage to America is expensive but its totally worth it to have polishes that we can not get here.

If anyone else is interested in getting some BYS polishes and would like a swap feel free to email me.

Lots of Love
Lisa
