Butter London Dodgy Barnett

Yay! After the weather man promising sun for the last three days, we finally had some, and I managed to finish work on time and get home before sunset to capture these pictures of Butter London's Dodgy Barnett.

Dodgy Barnett is from the 2012 Butter London Autumn/Winter collection.  To be honest I am not quite sure why you would include Holographic polishes in a winter collection.  Its spring here at the moment an we barely get any sun, so I cant imagine winter in London having much sun.

Close up of Butter London Dodgy Barnett

This is three coats. This one as not a one or two coater like a lot of other holographic polishes are these days.  Its quite thin so could actually be used as a holographic top coat over other polishes.  However it does have a significant amount of holo-ness so is totally worth getting.

I haven't spotted this one in New Zealand yet. There are very very few holographic polishes available in New Zealand, so if this one is spotted in Farmers, it may be worth paying the ridiculous retail price of $35 for one of these.

Deborah Lippmann Rock This Town Set

Rock This Town is a three piece set of metallic polishes by Deborah Lippmann that is exclusive to Nordstrom.  I bought this set while I was on holiday in America, actually this exact set came from Vegas.

Deborah Lippmann Moon Dance - Natural Light

Moon Dance is described as a deep lavender swirl (glimmer).  This is three coats.  To be honest I am not a fan. It is thin and has a grey base to it.  It has lavender glitter and a smaller amount of copper glitter.

Deborah Lippmann Chain Reaction - Natural Light

Chain Reaction is described as a dirty brass (glimmer).  This one did have a dirty base colour, kind of a grey/green mix and is full of grassy green glitter.  This is three coats.

Deborah Lippmann Phoenix Rising - Natural Light

Phoenix Rising is described as a foxy copper (glimmer).  Interesting descriptions really aren't they?  This is my favourite of the three. This is three coats. This one has a pinky orange base and is full of copper and gold glitter.

Spotted in NZ: OPI Skyfall

Today in Farmers I spotted the new OPI James Bond Skyfall collection.

This collection has 12 regular polishes retailing for $27.  I bought a couple of these already on my holiday which I will swatch a bit later on.

Farmers also had the Real 18K Gold top coat. But I almost cried a little inside when I saw the price. A whopping NZ$74 for this polish. Also another thing I am glad I bought in America before coming back home.

Last of all Farmers had the OPI Magnetic polishes in stock. Again I was totally surprised when I turned it over and saw the price. NZ$40. That is for ONE polish. I could not believe it! Please do not waste $40 on one of these polishes if you are in NZ! There are much cheaper alternatives. Look on the Color Club NZ website and fins someone stocking their magnetic polishes. They are under $20 each.
