Spotted in NZ: OPI Skyfall

Today in Farmers I spotted the new OPI James Bond Skyfall collection.

This collection has 12 regular polishes retailing for $27.  I bought a couple of these already on my holiday which I will swatch a bit later on.

Farmers also had the Real 18K Gold top coat. But I almost cried a little inside when I saw the price. A whopping NZ$74 for this polish. Also another thing I am glad I bought in America before coming back home.

Last of all Farmers had the OPI Magnetic polishes in stock. Again I was totally surprised when I turned it over and saw the price. NZ$40. That is for ONE polish. I could not believe it! Please do not waste $40 on one of these polishes if you are in NZ! There are much cheaper alternatives. Look on the Color Club NZ website and fins someone stocking their magnetic polishes. They are under $20 each.

Spotted in NZ: Orly Feel the Vibe

I spotted the Orly Feel the Vibe collection in Farmers the other day.  Out just in time for summer.  Neons are in all the stores here at the moment and while I am not keen on wearing neon clothing, I definitely do not mind it on my nails.

Happy Halloween!

Hi ladies,

Ever since I got back to work two days ago I have been swamped. It is the busiest time for my team all year and I came back right in the middle of it.  I am still jet lagged at the moment (I am waking up really early and falling asleep super early) so I had to choose between Halloween nails and Halloween cucpakes for Halloween yesterday.

Cupcakes won (my nails are naked)....

Have a great day people.

I'm Back!!

Hi everyone, long time no see.

Me and my Husband got back yesterday from our 5 week holiday around Canada and America.  We had an amazing time and saw and did a lot of things.  I will post some pictures once I have uploaded them (my computer has died, and I don't like the husbands one).

Here however is a picture of all the nail polishes I bought back with me.  My 9 month 'no buy' ended at the start of the holiday, and according to my husband another year long one just started.  There is about 140 nail polishes here.  We had these spread across four suitcases as they weigh a lot all together.

My nails took a bit of a battering on holiday. I have had a gel manicure for the last 11 days, but taking it off didn't go to well and I now have very soft nails to try and repair.

It's Holiday Time!

Tomorrow morning me and the Husband leave for a 5 week trip around America and Canada.  So I am taking a break from blogging while we are away.

This holiday marks the end of my 6 month 'no buy' and I am going to buy as many polishes as I can :)

I will be back in five weeks time with a giveaway and hopefully a huge amount of new polishes.

Max Factory Fantasy Fire (over black)

I found Max Factory Fantasy Fire at Farmers a few weeks ago. This is NZ$10.50 for a teeny tiny bottle of polish. Google says that these polishes are only 4.5 mls, which is one of the tiniest bottle of polish I have ever seen.  Price per mls makes this more expensive than even Mac polishes are here.

Max Factor Fantasy Fire over Black - Natural Light

As you can see from the bottle this polish looks purple and blue in the bottle, but on top of black the red, gold and green duochrome shows through instead of the blue and purple.

This little tiny bottle of polish is a million different manicures in one. Layering it over different colours makes it look completely different.  Unfortunately I don't have time to swatch this over any other colours before my holiday starts, but I will when I get back.  Only two more days until holiday time!
