Black Sparkle Comparison

Ive been meaning to post this for awhile now and I have finally finished it! YAY!

Black Sparkle Comparison

Left to right - OPI Suzi Skies in the Pyrenees suede, Zoya Freja, OPI My Private Jet, Sephora by OPI Absinthe makes the heart, Revlon Steel-etto

Zoya Freja

This one has the least visible sparkle or glitter. Its more of a charcoal colour with shimmer rather than glitter.

OPI My Private Jet

I don't think this needs any introduction. Beautiful holographic glitter sparkleness. (Sorry about the old crappy photo)

Sephora by OPI Absinthe Makes the Heart

This polish was the least opaque. Most of the others could have got away with 2 and in some cases one coat, but this I think was three. Its more of a glitter in a runny jelly base.

Revlon Steel-etto

I bought this polish about 2 and a half years ago and I'm pretty sure you can't get them anymore. Its from the Dark Pleasures collection. It was done in one coat but here is two.

OPI Suzi Skies in the Pyrenees suede

OPI Suzi Skies in the Pyrenees suede - with top coat

The top coat makes it sparkle and the glitter stand out much more than without a top coat. I always wear my OPI Suede polishes with a top coat. This is still a pretty polish though.

Obviously my favourite is OPI My Private Jet - But it had an unfair advantage in this comparison because it was holographic and none of the others were. Next favourite would be Revlon Steel-etto.

Hope this was helpful.

Sinful Colors Love Nails

This was my first experience with Sinful Color Nail Polish.

I was surprised by how runny this polish was. So the first two coats were really sheer because of that. This ended up being 4 coats in total.

Sinful Color - Love Nails - Outside, No Flash

This is a really pretty colour. Definitely worth the 4 coats. Each coat added on made it look better and better. It also looks pretty at night with regular house lights shinning on it and making it appear slightly greener.

Ive been wearing it since last night and am also amazed by how tough and strong it has turned out. I used an OPI Base Coat and Top Coat with this and once dried has lasted well.

Sinful Colors

Sinful Colors have come to New Zealand!!

This is the first time I saw them about a week ago in a local life pharmacy, but I had to wait to go back without my boyfriend before I could buy any- hes not really happy about my nail polish addiction.

These are selling for only $9 (compared to OPI at $25 and Color Club at $15 - in the same life pharmacy)

I restrained myself and only got 4! Yay for self control!

(Left to right) Let me go, Show me the way, Love Nails, Purple Diamond

Swatches to come later when I have some time.

ANZAC Day

Today is ANZAC day in New Zealand and Australia. Its been 95 years now.

For those of you who don't know what this is, Wikipedia says:

Anzac Day
is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

Each year we remember them. Its quite a big deal here. there are dawn services and lots on the news about it. All over the country we remember the sacrifices our relatives made.

Than ANZAC symbol is the red poppy. This is because red poppies grew in the fields where all our soldiers are buried. Mainly in Flanders Field.

So this was my ANZAC day NOTD.

Done using OPI Pearls Night Out and the Red Konad polish my Konad kit came with.

Lest we forget

China Glaze Frostbite

How is everyone doing?
Today my NOTD is Frostbite from China Glaze which was part of the Winter 2007 Ski collection.
Frostbite - No Flash - Outside

It is actually darker than this but my camera didn't want to capture it as dark as it is at all.
It's a dark to medium shimmer blue. Very pretty. I think this is definitely a winter polish as it is too dark for summer/spring. This was two coats and has a great China glaze formula. Very colour rich. I really do like it quite a lot :)

This photo makes it look the same as my Zoya Tallulah photo. Frostbite is much darker and richer than that.

This photo of the bottle is more colour accurate.
